Let's hop on a call (or email if that works best for you!) We'll discuss your vision and ultimate goals for your images, and then I'll walk you through my full process. A session fee and contract reserves your desired date. From here, the planning begins!
The day you've been excitedly waiting for is finally here!! We'll spend an ample amount of time together creating your dream portrait experience, getting all of the looks and locations you envisioned, and capturing images you'll LOVE!
About a week after your session we'll meet together again either in person (or over zoom for my travel clients) for your image reveal! During this time you'll select all of your favorite images and any artwork or other products you love. Final delivery typically takes 1-3 weeks.
This is a common concern. We will chat in detail during your discovery call about the location you're planning to do your session at and any concerns you may have. I have a highly trained eye that can see unique opportunities for your images, so usually there are plenty of spots around the property that you might not even be aware of that will work well. In very rare circumstances, it might be better to haul off property for a more picturesque location, so we definitely have options!
Rest assured, this is a VERY common concern from people wanting photos with their beloved pet, and should never be a limiting factor. I work with all different types of personalities and I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to get the poses you'll love. Don't stress it if you have a wiggly worm - I'm very confident in my ability to work with anything you throw at me! Moderate to heavy exercise the morning of the session should help take the edge off.
Absolutely! I have a decade and a half of animal behavioral training so this is not a concern. When possible, we should plan to have a pre-session meet-and-greet so that we can allow your dog to warm up to me before the actual session date. Many of my sessions do not require that I make physical contact with the dog at all, so there are absolutely different ways of interacting with your dog to make a session happen!
Yes! It's extremely important to abide by local leash laws for the safety of everyone involved. The vast majority of dogs I photograph have their leash on at all times so this is not an issue. I just ask that if you desire not to have a leash, collar, or other hardware on in the pictures that you use a thin collar and lead during the session to make it easier to remove. Show leads work great!
Yes, part of our planning consultation will include discussing your vision and compiling ideas for the best location(s). I have lots of different areas we can choose from, or if you have ideas in mind we can explore those too! Typically for horse clients, sessions are done at your barn/property, but we definitely go off-site if you have the ability to haul.
I absolutely travel for sessions! In fact, a large percentage of my clients are not even local to me. Your session fee includes up to a 90-mile radius from Post Falls, ID (83854). Locations outside of this radius will incur a mileage fee and hotel/lodging if applicable. If I need to fly out to you, a flat rate fee will apply based on your location. Any and all travel fees may be split equally amongst the number of clients being served in a single trip to reduce costs.
Yes! While my hope is for all of my clients to enjoy their images through printed artwork, every purchased image comes with two sets of digital files (one for sharing across social media, and one for printing) as well as a complimentary matted print.
Currently I do not have a personal studio, but I do have mobile studio equipment. If you have the space, I can easily set up in your home, or we can explore renting a studio space for more extensive sessions. Equine studio sessions are done at the end of a barn aisle facing outdoors and do not require any additional accommodations.
Because every session is 100% customized to the individual client, the average spend varies greatly. Some spend only their session fee while many spend much more. We will explore all of your options during your ordering appointment.
Over the years, I have found that this does not best serve my clients. It's a much more efficient process to go through everything together and make decisions based off of conversation, not to mention a lot more fun! Online galleries are reserved for final image delivery only.
